A World of Opportunities.

Red Dog Operations is the world's largest zinc mine, located approximately 105 miles north of the Arctic Circle in northwest Alaska, near Kotzebue.

Headquartered in Vancouver, Teck is Canada’s largest diversified resource company with major business units focused on copper, zinc, steelmaking coal and energy. Our operations and exploration projects are located around the world, including North and South America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa.

In 1989, Red Dog Operations was developed through an innovative operating agreement between the operator Cominco (now Teck) and the land-owner, NANA Regional Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation owned by the Inupiat people of northwest Alaska. NANA was created for the purpose of protecting its lands and interests and providing revenue and jobs for its shareholders. NANA’s mission is to improve the quality of life of its people.

An important provision of the original Red Dog agreement directed first preference for all Red Dog jobs to qualified NANA shareholders. NANA and Teck Alaska continually strive to maximize the benefits of mining for NANA shareholders.

Teck has opportunities in some of the world’s most incredible locations. Add to this challenging work assignments and excellent opportunities for career and professional growth, and we think you’ll find what you’re looking for.
